1. I am a Scorpio.
2. What bugs me about it: Scorpio’s are typically described as being very passionate, carnal creatures who think typically only of themselves and when they’re getting laid next. That’s, well, definitely not me. As much as I feel that I sometimes am not a real Scorpio, I love that when combined with my moon sign (I guess it’s called), the descriptions become incredibly accurate. Which in and of itself is slightly frightening.
3. Moon: Aquarius, Rising: Aquarius
4. I don’t think I have a favorite sign? A good friend of mine at work is a Sagittarius and he is a such a chill, care-free person. My youngest brother, who is in the Navy, is the same sign and also of similar disposition. So maybe that one, I suppose.
5. Astrology is definitely a very mild interest, something that I find amusing. I don’t follow a daily/monthly/yearly horoscope or anything like that. It’s just a hobby. As for the blog, I think I found it while searching through the scorpio tag one day.
You want to demonstrate your competence and your loyalty by shining at what you do today. However, you may not be able to get rid of a bad feeling that you’re being judged by someone who doesn’t really appreciate your efforts. You are now being challenged to overcome resistance: yours or someone else’s. Either way, sidestepping the real issues can feel like defeat. Fortunately, you’ll be proud of yourself if you stand your ground and just do the best you can.
[Bolding is mine.]
See that last post of mine. I read this after all the craziness went down. It’s like the universe knows.
Your zodiac sign and if you think it fits your personality.
I am a Scorpio. I was born October 29th, 1987. (If you’re looking at the “new” zodiac with 13 signs, I apparently am a Virgo in that.)
I find astrology to be more of an idle interest. I like to sometimes look my sign and see what people have written about what kind of person I am supposed to already be like. Sometimes they’re accurate, sometimes they aren’t.
More often, they aren’t.
Scorpios:
Extremely adorable. Intelligent. Loves to joke. Very good sense of humor. Energetic. Predicts the future. Great kisser. Always gets what they want. Attractive. Easy going. Loves being in long relationships. Talkative. Romantic.
I would say that’s about… half right.
On the other hand, Virgos:
Dominant in relationships. Conservative. Always wants the last word. Argumentative. Worries. Very smart. Dislikes noise and chaos. Eager. Hardworking. Loyal. Beautiful. Easy to talk to. Hard to please. Harsh. Practical and very fussy. Often shy. Dreamer. Accomplisher.
That’s actually way more accurate, though I don’t consider myself beautiful by any standard.
Anyways.
In contrast to all of that, I did do a little more Googling to see if I actually “fit in” in my current sign. I looked up my moon sign (which is Aquarius) and found some interesting things that actually are frighteningly accurate.
The combination of your sun sign and your moon sign may create a rather quiet exterior, but inwardly there is a great deal of mental pressure and a constant flow of undercurrents.
Very true.
You often seem to be absorbed in another sphere of existence and above being actively involved in mundane activities surrounding you. This combination blends the emotional force, determination, and will power of Scorpio, with the originality, ingenuity, and friendliness of Aquarius.
I disagree with that, mostly.
You have a strong will and deeply fixed attitudes and ideas. Keen judgement of human nature and the ability to sense the motives of others gives you a very good knack for handling people. But you can be a tough boss, for once you lose the respect for someone’s ability to think and reason, you have little use for them in any way.
TRUE. The ‘boss’ part especially. Once I discover you haven’t taken the time to learn how to do your job properly, I really have no use for you.
Never showing this outwardly, you an always be polite and civil, while feeling nothing but scorn and disgust. You don’t believe in discriminating against anyone, so you hide the intolerance you can not help but feel.
Um, YES. Though I used to not be able to hide it. I can now, very well. >:)
You have a need for adulation, but unless you feel that you deserve it, you resent people that flatter and compliment you. You have the ability to influence people and as you progress up the ladder, you are apt to become surrounded by “yes men”, for whom you can hold no respect.
First sentence: yes. Second: I have no idea, but it sounds like something I could think.
Shallowness or superficiality completely throw you off. You have a profound mind that is broad and tolerant (at least in theory), and quite creative. Pride is strongly marked in your nature, and you set great store by intellectual and artistic accomplishment.
I agree with all of that.
There is a depth to you nature and your emotions that few can understand. You’re outstanding at observation, at analysis, at imagining and creating.
Yep. Sure.
Essentially, I don’t entirely put stock i astrology, but I can appreciate it when it seems to coincide with my actual life.
Normally, I don’t really put much stock in astrology/the zodiac, because I don’t like the idea that the position of the sun/moon/planets can govern my complete personality and also because usually, it’s wrong. BUT. This is a bit ridiculous how completely accurate it is.
The Scorpio/Aquarius thing means that my sun sign is Scorpio and my moon sign is Aquarius.
